Hydrangea arborescens 'Strong Annabelle' is a deciduous shrub grown for its big, rounded heads of creamy white flowers. It is selected for sturdy stems that hold the flower heads up well, which makes it a dependable choice for mixed borders, shady corners and large containers.
- Large white flower heads from summer into autumn
- Deciduous, with fresh green foliage in spring and summer
- Supplied in a 19cm pot, around 30cm tall
- Suits partial shade or a spot with morning sun
- Grows into a rounded shrub of roughly a metre across
Plant in moist, well-drained soil enriched with compost, and water well in dry spells, especially in the first year. Ireland's mild, damp climate suits hydrangeas well. Cut stems back in late winter or early spring, as the flowers form on the new season's growth.
Supplied as young plants in growing pots, shipped directly from our partner growers. Plants are living products, so size and shape can vary slightly from the photo.
