Photinia x fraseri 'Red Robin' is a popular evergreen shrub grown for its bright red new leaves, which mature to glossy dark green. It is widely used for colourful, informal hedging and as a feature shrub.
- Bright red new growth that matures to dark green
- Glossy evergreen foliage all year
- Small white flower clusters in spring on unclipped plants
- Pack of 24 plants in 9cm pots, 25-35cm tall as supplied
- Hardy in Irish gardens, grown in sun or partial shade
Plant in well-drained soil in a reasonably sheltered spot and water through the first summer. Trimming in late spring and again in summer encourages fresh red growth. Space plants close together for a continuous hedge line.
