Gaura lindheimeri 'Whirling Butterflies' is a light, airy perennial with slender wiry stems carrying white, butterfly-like flowers that dance in the breeze. It softens borders and mixes beautifully with grasses and other perennials.
- Pack: 24 young plants in 11cm pots, about 15-25cm tall as supplied
- Flowers: white blooms fading to pale pink, produced over a long season from summer into autumn
- Foliage: narrow green leaves on branching stems
- Light: full sun
- Use: borders, gravel and prairie-style planting; visited by bees and butterflies
Plant in spring in a sunny, sheltered spot with well-drained soil; winter wet is the main risk in heavy ground, so add grit. Cut back in spring once new growth shows, and deadhead to prolong flowering.
Supplied as young plants in growing pots, shipped directly from our partner growers. Plants are living products, so size and shape can vary slightly from the photo.
