Cortaderia selloana 'Pumila' is a compact pampas grass, forming a dense clump of arching blue-green leaves topped in late summer by upright, creamy plumes. It gives bold structure without the size of the standard species.
- Pack: 24 young plants in 11cm pots, about 15-25cm tall as supplied
- Plumes: creamy-silver flower heads from late summer, lasting into winter
- Size: flower stems can reach roughly 1.5 metres when mature
- Light: full sun
- Use: back of borders, focal points and large containers
Plant in spring in a sunny, reasonably sheltered spot with well-drained soil, and water regularly during the first year. Wear gloves when handling, as the leaf edges are sharp. Cut back the old foliage in early spring before new growth appears.
Supplied as young plants in growing pots, shipped directly from our partner growers. Plants are living products, so size and shape can vary slightly from the photo.
