Carex oshimensis is a Japanese sedge forming neat, arching mounds of narrow, fresh green leaves that stay attractive all year. This green form is a tidy, easy-going choice for foliage contrast in beds and pots.
- Pack: 24 young plants in 11cm pots, about 15-25cm tall as supplied
- Foliage: fine, glossy green leaves in a weeping mound, evergreen
- Flowers: small, understated spikes in spring
- Light: partial shade to sun
- Use: edging, ground cover, borders, containers and underplanting
Plant in spring or autumn in soil that drains well but is not allowed to dry out for long, watering during the first year while roots establish. Remove any tired leaves by hand-combing in spring. It combines well with gold or variegated sedges and with ferns.
Supplied as young plants in growing pots, shipped directly from our partner growers. Plants are living products, so size and shape can vary slightly from the photo.
