Astilbe japonica 'Europa' is a shade-loving perennial with fern-like foliage and feathery plumes of soft pink flowers in early summer. This pack of 24 plants in 11cm pots will fill a shady border or the damp margins of a pond.
- Flowers: soft pink feathery plumes from early summer
- Foliage: finely cut, deep green leaves
- Supplied as: 24 plants, 15-25cm tall, in 11cm pots
- Light: partial shade to shade
- Use: shady borders, woodland planting and pond edges
Astilbes like soil that stays moist, so add plenty of compost or leaf mould at planting and water in dry spells, especially in the first year. Leave the faded plumes on over winter for interest and cut them back in early spring.
Supplied as young plants in growing pots, shipped directly from our partner growers. Plants are living products, so size and shape can vary slightly from the photo.
