Vinca minor 'Atropurpurea' is a neat, evergreen ground cover with glossy dark green leaves and deep plum-purple flowers in spring. It forms a low carpet beneath trees and shrubs and along shady borders.
- Deep plum-purple flowers from spring, with occasional blooms later
- Glossy evergreen leaves
- Pack of 24 young plants in 11cm pots, 15-25cm tall as supplied
- Low, trailing habit that forms a dense mat
- Grows in partial shade to shade
- Useful under trees, on banks and in woodland-style planting
Plant in partial shade to shade in soil that stays reasonably moist, spacing plants about 30cm apart. Water young plants while they establish and trim lightly after flowering to keep the mat tidy. It spreads steadily by trailing stems that root as they go, so give it space.
Supplied as young plants in growing pots, shipped directly from our partner growers. Plants are living products, so size and shape can vary slightly from the photo.
