Alchemilla mollis, or Lady's Mantle, is a soft, easy perennial with scalloped, velvety leaves and clouds of tiny lime-yellow flowers. Planted in a group, it softens path edges, steps and the front of borders.
- Pack: 24 young plants in 11cm pots, about 15-25cm tall as supplied
- Flowers: frothy lime-yellow sprays from early summer
- Foliage: rounded, pleated, soft green leaves that hold raindrops
- Light: sun or partial shade
- Use: edging, ground cover, borders and cut flowers
Plant in spring or autumn in moist but well-drained soil and water well until established. Cut back after flowering to tidy the clump and encourage fresh foliage. It self-seeds readily, so remove spent flower heads if you want to limit spread.
Supplied as young plants in growing pots, shipped directly from our partner growers. Plants are living products, so size and shape can vary slightly from the photo.
