60x Phlomis russeliana 10-25cm - 9cm Pot - Hardy Jerusalem Sage

Phlomis russeliana - Hardy Jerusalem Sage Bulk Pack

Phlomis russeliana, commonly known as Hardy Jerusalem Sage or Turkish Sage, is a striking hardy perennial that brings year-round interest to gardens. This 60-pack offers exceptional value for creating impactful displays in borders, naturalistic gardens, and mixed plantings.

Distinctive Pale Yellow Flowers

From early summer through autumn, Phlomis russeliana produces unique pale yellow hooded flowers arranged in architectural whorls along upright stems. These tiered flower clusters create a dramatic vertical element in the garden, rising above the basal foliage. The distinctive flower structure makes this plant instantly recognizable and adds dimensional interest to planting schemes.

Evergreen Structure and Winter Interest

Large, heart-shaped green leaves form a low ground-covering mound that provides structure throughout the year. In mild climates and sheltered locations, the foliage remains evergreen. The spent flower stems are worth leaving in place over winter, as they create handsome architectural silhouettes and look particularly striking when covered in frost or snow. These dried seed heads also provide valuable food sources for birds during winter months.

Pollinator-Friendly and Wildlife Garden Essential

Phlomis russeliana is highly attractive to bees, butterflies, and other beneficial pollinators. The nectar-rich flowers provide an important food source throughout the summer flowering season. This makes it an excellent choice for wildlife gardens, pollinator gardens, and naturalistic planting schemes where supporting biodiversity is a priority.

Low-Maintenance and Drought-Tolerant

Once established, this Mediterranean species is remarkably drought-tolerant and requires minimal maintenance. It thrives in well-drained soil and sunny or partially shaded positions, making it ideal for dry gardens, gravel borders, and areas where water conservation is important. The plant is also deer-resistant and tolerates poor soils, demonstrating excellent adaptability to challenging garden conditions.

Bulk Pack Benefits

This 60-plant pack provides excellent coverage for larger border projects, meadow gardens, or commercial landscaping. Mass plantings create stunning visual impact when the whorled yellow flowers bloom in unison. The plants are supplied in 9cm growing pots at 10-25cm height, ready for planting.
