Geranium macrorrhizum 'Spessart' - White Flowering Ground Cover
Geranium macrorrhizum 'Spessart' is a versatile, hardy ground cover featuring beautiful, bright white flowers and attractive green foliage that undergoes a lovely color change in the fall. This low-maintenance plant thrives in both sun and shade, quickly forming a dense carpet, making it ideal for borders and rock gardens.
Key Features
This hardy geranium variety offers exceptional versatility for garden design. The bright white blooms create striking contrast against the lush green foliage, providing visual interest throughout the growing season. As temperatures cool, the foliage transforms with attractive autumn colors, extending the ornamental value well beyond the flowering period.
The ground-covering nature of 'Spessart' makes it particularly valuable for suppressing weeds while creating a cohesive landscape appearance. Its ability to thrive in both sunny and shaded locations provides flexibility in garden planning, allowing you to fill challenging areas where other plants might struggle.
