60x Bergenia Cordifolia 'Herbstblüte' - Hardy Evergreen Ground Cover

Bergenia Cordifolia 'Herbstblüte' - Autumn-Blooming Ground Cover

Bergenia cordifolia 'Herbstblüte' is a robust evergreen perennial that delivers reliable performance in challenging garden conditions. This cultivar produces pink flowers in late autumn when most other plants have finished blooming, providing valuable seasonal interest.

Plant Specifications

Each plant measures 10-25cm in height and is supplied in a 9cm diameter growing pot. This bulk pack contains 60 plants, making it an economical choice for larger planting schemes or ground cover projects.

Key Features

The large, heart-shaped leaves create dense foliage coverage that remains attractive throughout the year. As an evergreen species, Bergenia cordifolia maintains its leaf structure during winter months, providing consistent ground coverage when many herbaceous plants die back. The foliage often develops attractive bronze or red tones in colder weather, adding additional visual interest.

Late autumn flowering distinguishes 'Herbstblüte' from many garden perennials. The pink blooms appear when few other plants are in flower, extending the garden's seasonal display. This characteristic makes it particularly valuable for maintaining color during transitional periods.

Growing Conditions

This Bergenia thrives in shaded locations where many other flowering plants struggle. It tolerates a range of light conditions from full shade to partial sun, making it adaptable to various garden situations. The plant's low maintenance requirements suit both experienced gardeners and beginners.

Hardy and resilient, Bergenia cordifolia withstands cold temperatures and requires minimal intervention once established. Its spreading habit makes it effective for suppressing weeds and stabilizing soil on slopes or difficult terrain.

Planting Applications

With 60 plants included, this pack suits border edging, woodland garden plantings, or extensive ground cover installations. The quantity allows for spacing at recommended intervals to achieve full coverage within one to two growing seasons.
