Aster ageratoides 'Asran' - Light Blue Autumn Flowering Perennial
Aster ageratoides 'Asran' is a hardy perennial that brings late-season colour to your garden when most other plants are fading. This clump-forming aster produces clusters of light blue, daisy-like flowers with yellow centres from August until the end of autumn, reaching a height of 50 to 70 cm at maturity.

Growing Conditions
Plant Aster ageratoides 'Asran' in full sun for best flowering performance. This variety tolerates dry, lightly shaded spots better than many other asters, making it versatile for different garden locations. It thrives in well-drained, moderately fertile soil and forms spreading clumps of wand-like stems with dark green foliage.
Care Instructions
Prune back to the ground in March to encourage vigorous growth and abundant blooms. Once established, this aster is low maintenance and drought tolerant. Water newly planted specimens regularly until established. The strong, upright stems rarely require staking, and the variety shows good mildew resistance.
Garden Uses
Ideal for large perennial planting schemes, garden borders, and cottage gardens. Aster ageratoides 'Asran' pairs well with other autumn-flowering perennials such as Rudbeckia, Helenium, and ornamental grasses. Plant in groups of three or more for maximum visual impact. The late-season blooms provide essential nectar and pollen for pollinators when other food sources are scarce.
