Tiarella cordifolia, also known as foamflower, is a low-growing perennial with beautifully patterned, heart-shaped leaves and delicate white flowers that appear in spring. This shade-loving plant is ideal as ground cover under trees and shrubs, along woodland edges, in shaded borders, and naturalistic gardens. Tiarella cordifolia thrives best in humus-rich, moisture-retentive soil in partial to full shade. It is low-maintenance, hardy, and attracts bees and butterflies.
