Cotoneaster procumbens 'Streib's Findling' Ground Cover - 48 Pack

Cotoneaster procumbens 'Streib's Findling' is a vigorous ground cover that grows low to the ground, fully covering the soil. With its small white flowers in May/June and vibrant berries in October/November, it adds color and life to your garden. This versatile plant thrives in all soil types and can be grown in both sun and shade. Pruning is easy—just do it before the end of February. Perfect for a low-maintenance and charming garden!

Key Features

This ground cover variety forms a dense, horizontal carpet that effectively suppresses weeds while providing year-round visual interest. The small, glossy leaves create a lush green backdrop during spring and summer, while the white blossoms attract pollinators to your garden. Come autumn, the plant transforms with bright red berries that persist through early winter, offering food for wildlife.

Growing Specifications

Each plant arrives at a height of 10-25cm in a 9cm diameter pot, ready for immediate planting. The 48-plant pack provides excellent coverage for larger garden areas, slopes, or borders. Cotoneaster 'Streib's Findling' adapts to various growing conditions, making it suitable for challenging spots where other plants struggle. It tolerates both full sun and partial shade, and accepts poor soil conditions once established.

Planting and Maintenance

Space plants 30-40cm apart for optimal coverage within one to two growing seasons. The low-growing habit requires minimal maintenance—simply trim back any overgrown sections before the end of February to maintain shape. This evergreen to semi-evergreen shrub provides structure throughout winter months, with foliage that may take on bronze tints in cold weather.

Ideal Applications

Perfect for erosion control on banks and slopes, as a lawn alternative in difficult areas, or as edging along pathways and driveways. The dense growth habit makes it an excellent choice for commercial landscaping projects or large residential gardens requiring extensive ground coverage with minimal upkeep.
