60x Waldsteinia Ternata - Evergreen Ground Cover - 10-25cm - Ø9cm

Waldsteinia Ternata - Evergreen Ground Cover Plants (60 Pack)

Waldsteinia ternata, also known as barren strawberry or golden strawberry, is a vigorous evergreen ground cover that creates a dense carpet of lush green foliage across your garden. This bulk pack of 60 plants provides excellent coverage for larger areas, making it ideal for landscaping projects, woodland gardens, and difficult-to-plant zones.

Vibrant Yellow Spring Flowers

From April through May, this ground cover produces masses of bright yellow, strawberry-like flowers that rise just above the glossy green foliage. The five-petaled blooms add cheerful color to your garden during spring, providing an early source of pollen for bees and beneficial insects. After flowering, the attractive foliage remains throughout the year, maintaining visual interest in all seasons.

Versatile Growing Conditions

Waldsteinia ternata adapts to both sunny and shady locations, making it one of the most versatile ground covers available. It thrives in full sun, partial shade, and even moderate shade, performing well under trees and shrubs where other plants struggle. This adaptability extends to soil conditions - it grows in all soil types and tolerates both wet and dry conditions once established.

Low Maintenance Ground Cover

This semi-evergreen perennial requires minimal care once established. It spreads steadily via runners to form a weed-suppressing mat 10-25cm high, without becoming invasive. The plant is winter hardy, rabbit resistant, and tolerates exposed sites. No regular pruning is needed, making it perfect for low-maintenance gardens and hard-to-reach areas.

Bulk Pack Specifications

Each plant is supplied in a 9cm growing pot with a height of 10-25cm at purchase. For optimal coverage, plant 5-6 plants per meter or 9-12 per square meter. This 60-pack provides sufficient coverage for approximately 5-6 square meters, ideal for filling borders, underplanting shrubs, covering banks, or creating pathways.
