Growing Conditions

Nepeta 'Six Hills Giant' thrives in full sun positions and well-drained soil. This hardy perennial tolerates dry conditions exceptionally well, making it suitable for xeriscaping and water-wise gardens. The plants perform best when planted in groups along borders or pathways where their aromatic foliage can be appreciated.

Garden Uses

This catmint variety is excellent for herbaceous borders, cottage gardens, and Mediterranean-style plantings. The 48-plant pack provides sufficient coverage for creating substantial drifts or edging larger garden areas. Plant at 30-40cm spacing for optimal growth and coverage. The aromatic foliage naturally deters deer and rabbits while attracting beneficial insects.

Care Instructions

Cut back flowering stems after the first flush in mid-summer to encourage a second wave of blooms. In late autumn or early spring, trim plants back to ground level to maintain vigor. Water regularly during the first growing season to establish deep roots, then reduce watering as the plants are drought-tolerant once mature.
