40x Euonymus japonicus 'Paloma Blanca' Japanese Spindle - Evergreen Hedging - 9cm Pot - 20-30cm

Euonymus japonicus 'Paloma Blanca' is an evergreen hedging plant with glossy green leaves edged in cream — bright enough to lift a dull corner, restrained enough to sit behind other planting. The variegation holds all year, so the hedge looks the same in February as it does in July.

Why it works in cooler northern European gardens

• Dense and clippable — it branches tightly, so it screens properly rather than just marking a line, and it takes shaping well.
• Sun or shade — happy in full sun and tolerant of shade, so a single hedge can run along a boundary that changes aspect.
• Genuinely hardy — unbothered by wet, windy winters once established.
• Low maintenance — one clip a year keeps it in shape, and it attracts few pests.
• Not fussy about soil — it will grow in most garden ground that is not waterlogged.

Planting

Supplied as 40 plants in 9cm pots, 20–30cm tall. Plant 3–5 per metre for a low hedge, spacing them evenly in a single row. Water in well and keep the base clear of weeds for the first season. Expect a usable low hedge in two to three seasons.
