Digitalis purpurea, commonly known as Foxglove, is a striking perennial that lights up early summer with tall spires of tubular flowers in shades of pink, purple and white. Its elegant upright habit adds height, charm and a touch of wild beauty to borders, cottage gardens and natural plantings. Digitalis purpurea is highly attractive to bees and bumblebees, which eagerly visit the intricate blooms. It thrives in sun to partial shade and instantly brings a romantic, woodland-like feel to the garden.
