This native plant is ideal for moist borders, pond edges, and naturalistic gardens, where it provides long-lasting color and a wild, natural look. Lythrum salicaria prefers a sunny position and moist to wet soil, is low-maintenance, and fully hardy. It is also highly attractive to bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.
