Growing Characteristics

Geranium 'Johnson's Blue' is a fast-growing perennial that establishes quickly in most garden conditions. The plant forms dense mats of attractive green foliage that suppresses weeds naturally while providing continuous coverage throughout the growing season. The bright blue flowers appear from late spring through summer, creating a spectacular display that attracts pollinators including bees and butterflies to your garden.

Garden Applications

These hardy geraniums work exceptionally well in multiple garden settings. Use them as border edging plants where their mounding habit creates soft, flowing lines. They're equally effective in rock gardens, where they cascade over stones and fill gaps between larger specimens. The dense growth makes them excellent for ground cover in areas where you need reliable, attractive coverage that requires minimal maintenance once established.

Care and Maintenance

One of the key advantages of Geranium 'Johnson's Blue' is its low-maintenance nature. Once established, these perennials require minimal intervention and return year after year with consistent performance. They tolerate a range of soil conditions and light levels, though they perform best in well-drained soil with adequate moisture during establishment.
