60x Hakonechloa Macra - Japanese Forest Grass - 10-25cm - Ø9cm

Hakonechloa Macra - Japanese Forest Grass (60 Plant Bundle)

Hakonechloa macra, commonly known as Japanese forest grass, is an elegant ornamental grass characterized by its gracefully arching, green leaves that transform into a stunning golden-yellow display during autumn months. This 60-plant bundle provides excellent value for larger garden projects, ground cover installations, or landscape design work.

Plant Specifications

Each plant in this bulk order arrives at a height of 10-25cm and is supplied in a 9cm diameter growing pot. The compact size makes these plants ideal for establishing ground cover quickly across larger areas while allowing them to develop naturally in their new environment.

Growing Characteristics

Japanese forest grass thrives in shaded garden conditions where many other ornamental grasses struggle. The arching growth habit creates a soft, flowing texture that adds movement to the landscape with even the slightest breeze. This cascading form makes Hakonechloa macra particularly effective for edging pathways, bordering woodland areas, or softening hard landscape features.

Seasonal Interest

The foliage provides year-round interest, starting with fresh green leaves in spring and summer, then transitioning to rich golden-yellow tones as autumn approaches. This seasonal color change adds valuable visual interest during the fall months when many other plants are declining.

Garden Applications

This bulk quantity of 60 plants is suitable for creating substantial ground cover in shaded areas, mass planting schemes, slope stabilization, or commercial landscaping projects. The low-maintenance nature and hardy constitution make these plants reliable performers in various garden settings.

Care and Maintenance

Hakonechloa macra requires minimal intervention once established. Hardy and adaptable, this ornamental grass tolerates a range of conditions while preferring partial to full shade and moist, well-drained soil.
