Sedum 'Herbstfreude' (Autumn Joy) - 48 Plant Bundle
Sedum 'Herbstfreude', also known as Autumn Joy, is a hardy, drought-tolerant succulent that delivers striking beauty throughout the growing season. This 48-plant bundle provides excellent coverage for larger garden projects, borders, and landscaping installations.
Key Features
Each plant features thick, fleshy green leaves characteristic of succulent varieties, providing textural interest even before flowering begins. The vibrant pink flowers emerge from late summer and continue blooming well into fall, creating a spectacular display when many other perennials have finished their season. The flower heads transition through multiple color stages, from pale pink buds to deep rose-pink blooms, eventually turning to attractive russet-brown seed heads that provide winter interest.
Pollinator-Friendly Garden Choice
This variety attracts bees and butterflies throughout its extended blooming period, making it an excellent choice for wildlife-friendly and pollinator gardens. The nectar-rich flowers provide essential late-season food sources when pollinators need them most.
Growing Conditions
Sedum 'Herbstfreude' thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. Its drought tolerance makes it ideal for low-water gardens, xeriscaping, and areas where irrigation is limited. Once established, these plants require minimal watering and maintenance, making them perfect for busy gardeners or low-maintenance landscaping projects.
Versatile Garden Applications
This 48-plant collection is perfect for:
- Perennial borders and mixed plantings
- Rock gardens and alpine settings
