Erysimum 'Bowles' Mauve' is a generously flowering semi-evergreen perennial, producing slender spikes of warm mauve-purple flowers from early spring well into summer — and often beyond. This bulk pack of 48 plants in 9cm pots is ideal for landscapers, garden designers, and anyone planting large-scale borders, pollinator meadows, or informal cottage-style schemes across Ireland and Europe.
At standard border spacing of 30–40cm, 48 plants will cover approximately 4–6 square metres. For a 10m² pollinator border, two packs are recommended.
Why Choose Erysimum 'Bowles' Mauve'?
- Extended flowering: Blooms from March through July and beyond in cooler northern European gardens — one of the longest-flowering perennials available
- Drought-tolerant: Thrives in well-drained soil with minimal watering once established — ideal for low-maintenance schemes
- Pollinator magnet: Highly attractive to bees, butterflies, and other beneficial insects throughout the flowering season
- Low maintenance: Requires little care beyond a light trim after flowering to encourage repeat blooms
- Full sun performer: Best in an open, sunny position with good drainage — thrives in coastal and exposed gardens
- Versatile: Suited to sunny borders, raised beds, gravel gardens, containers, and informal cottage planting
