Festuca gautieri, also known as bear skin fescue, is a compact and ornamental grass with fine, fresh green foliage forming dense, cushion-like tufts. This evergreen grass is ideal for rock gardens, borders and as ground cover, adding structure and calm to planting schemes. Festuca gautieri prefers a sunny to lightly shaded position, is very low-maintenance and highly drought-tolerant. Its neat, low-growing habit makes it perfect for both modern and natural garden designs.
