4x - Lonicera periclymenum 'Belgica' - ↨65cm - Ø15

Invite a classic sense of charm and a heavenly perfume into your garden with this set of four Lonicera periclymenum 'Belgica'. Commonly known as Early Dutch Honeysuckle, this variety is celebrated for its early flowering season and its exceptionally sweet, powerful fragrance that fills the air, particularly in the evenings.

Each plant is delivered in a 15cm pot with a current height of approximately 65cm. 'Belgica' is a vigorous, deciduous climber that features beautiful clusters of tubular flowers. It is the perfect choice for covering walls, fences, or pergolas with a lush, fragrant canopy.

Why choose Lonicera 'Belgica'?

• Early Season Color: Unlike some other honeysuckles, 'Belgica' begins its show early, producing stunning bicolor flowers that start as purplish-red buds and open to reveal creamy-yellow interiors.

• Intense Fragrance: Renowned for its rich, sweet scent, making it an ideal plant to place near a patio, window, or garden bench.

• Wildlife Haven: The nectar-rich blooms are a magnet for bees and butterflies during the day and attracting moths at night. In autumn, the flowers are followed by small red berries that local birds love.

• Bushy Growth Habit: This variety has a slightly more compact and bushy growth habit compared to other honeysuckles, making it easier to manage while still providing excellent coverage.

Care Instructions:

• Light: Prefers a spot in full sun or partial shade. Like most climbers, it thrives when its "head" is in the sun and its "feet" (roots) are kept cool, shaded, and moist.

• Support: This is a twining climber that needs a trellis, fence, or wire frame to wrap itself around as it grows.

• Watering: Maintain regular watering to keep the soil moist but well-drained. Do not allow the root ball to dry out completely during the summer.

• Pruning: Prune lightly after flowering to maintain the desired shape and to encourage new, flowering wood for the following year.
