Lavandula angustifolia 'Hidcote' - Premium English Lavender Plants
Lavandula angustifolia 'Hidcote' is a beautiful choice for the garden! It is a richly flowering lavender that is in full bloom from July to August. This species does well in different soil types, but prefers full sun. Pruning in September to remove old flowers is a smart move; this stimulates good growth. In addition, short pruning at the end of February is essential to rejuvenate the plant and ensure new flowering in the coming season. Make sure you do this with sharp and clean pruning shears so as not to damage the plant. Enjoy your lavender!
Bulk Pack of 48 Lavender Plants
This value pack contains 48 individual Lavandula 'Hidcote' plants, each supplied in 9cm diameter growing pots. With heights ranging from 10-25cm at delivery, these young plants are ready to establish in your garden beds, borders, or large-scale landscaping projects. The bulk quantity makes this pack suitable for creating extensive lavender hedges, mass plantings, or commercial landscaping applications.
Growing Specifications
Lavandula angustifolia 'Hidcote' thrives in full sun positions and adapts to various soil types, though well-drained soil produces the best results. The compact growth habit and deep purple flower spikes make this cultivar particularly popular for formal borders and edging. Flowering occurs from July through August, providing months of color and fragrance.
Maintenance Requirements
Two annual pruning sessions maintain plant vigor and flowering performance. Remove spent flowers in September to encourage healthy growth and prevent the plant from expending energy on seed production. Perform a harder prune in late February to rejuvenate the plant structure and promote abundant flowering for the upcoming season. Always use sharp, clean pruning shears to minimize plant stress and prevent disease transmission.
