Muscat of Alexandria Grape Vine
The Vitis vinifera 'Muscat of Alexandria' is an elegant, climbing grape vine with fresh green, deeply lobed leaves with attractive serrated edges. Through the growing season it forms trusses of light-green to golden-yellow grapes prized for their sweet, aromatic muscat flavour, preceded in spring by small greenish flowers in compact clusters.
Position
This vine loves a warm, sunny spot — ideally south-facing. It is well suited to growing outdoors in a garden or on a sheltered, sunny balcony. Protect it from strong wind and hard frost, and give it a support, wall or trellis to climb.
Watering & Care
Water regularly, especially during warm weather and while the plant is fruiting, keeping the soil evenly moist but never waterlogged. An occasional feed through the growing season supports healthy leaves and a generous crop. Prune in winter while the vine is dormant to keep it productive and in shape.
