- Light: Full sun to bright indirect light — south or west-facing window ideal
- Watering: Allow soil to dry out fully between waterings; reduce to once every 3–4 weeks in winter
- Soil: Free-draining cactus or succulent compost; roots must not sit in water
- Temperature: 15–27°C; keep above 10°C in winter; thrives in Irish homes year round with good light
- Feeding: Light feed with cactus fertiliser once or twice during summer
