Leptinella squalida, commonly known as brass buttons, is a low-growing, evergreen perennial that forms a dense, lush mat ideal for groundcover applications. With its fine, fern-like foliage reaching heights of 10-25cm, this New Zealand native creates a soft, carpet-like texture that remains attractive year-round.
